About Axel

"I have 3 years of experience teaching violin and hold a Bachelor of Music in Chamber Music with a Violin Focus. My background in classical music has given me a strong technical foundation, and I enjoy helping students apply those skills in both traditional and modern styles. I believe learning the violin should be rewarding, practical, and enjoyable.

My lessons focus on bow control, vibrato, phrasing, and musical interpretation to help students create a confident and expressive sound. I encourage students to understand the story behind every piece instead of simply playing the notes. This helps them build both technical ability and musical confidence.

I also prepare students for graded music exams and orchestral performances with structured practice plans. We work on sight reading, rhythm, tone quality, and ensemble skills that are valuable in every performance setting. I once helped a student prepare for a youth orchestra audition, and through consistent work on phrasing and bow control, they earned a place in the ensemble.

Every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style to match their goals and pace. Whether you are learning for exams, concerts, or personal enjoyment, I will guide you with patience and clear feedback. My aim is to help every student become a skilled, confident, and expressive violinist."

About the lesson

"My teaching method is built around helping every student develop strong technique while enjoying the process of making music. Each lesson includes work on violin technique, ear training, sight reading, scales, rhythm, tone production, posture, and performance confidence. These skills work together to create a complete musician.

I support students who enjoy performing on stage as well as those who play music in community groups and places of worship. Lessons also include emotional expression so students learn how to communicate feeling through every performance. I encourage careful listening because it improves intonation, ensemble playing, and musical awareness.

I use step-by-step exercises to build confidence before moving to more challenging pieces. I remember one student who found vibrato difficult, but after practicing short daily exercises and recording weekly progress, the movement became smooth and natural. My goal is to help every student build lasting skills, perform with confidence, and enjoy expressing themselves through the violin."
