About Paula

I’m a professional violinist based in London, currently performing at Sinfonia Smith Square and teaching for two music schools alongside my private students. I trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where I completed both my Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees with merit.

I began teaching early, but my approach really developed after moving from Spain to London in 2018. My goal is to help children build a strong technical foundation while also feeling confident, motivated, and happy with their instrument. I care deeply about music education and believe that when the student enjoys learning, progress follows naturally. I have experience teaching pupils of all ages and levels (from 4 y/o to adults), and I adapt each lesson to suit every student’s personality, learning pace, and goals.

When I’m not teaching or performing, I enjoy being outdoors and discovering good food.

About the lesson

Whether you’re returning to the violin after a long break, starting from scratch, preparing for your orchestra rehearsals or helping your child prepare for ABRSM Grades 1–8, I offer supportive, personalised violin lessons for adults and children.

Lessons are carefully structured to combine solid technical foundations with creativity and enjoyment. We begin with technique and form-focused exercises, then move on to repertoire chosen to match the pupil’s level and musical interests including pieces they enjoy and can eventually play with accompaniment, as well as duets.

I keep a practice notebook so pupils and parents always know what to work on each week—and yes, stickers are awarded at every age! I provide my own learning materials when introducing new concepts and include musical games and activities to support well-rounded musical development.
