About Joel
My passion for programming started when I became interested in how software can transform ideas into useful tools. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science before earning a Master’s Degree in Software Development. Over the last 11 years, I have helped students build strong coding skills and technical confidence.
I believe programming is best learned through practice, exploration, and understanding. My teaching style focuses on clear explanations, structured learning, and adapting lessons to suit each student's needs. I work hard to make coding approachable for learners at every level.
Outside teaching, I enjoy building personal software projects and exploring new technologies. Staying connected to industry developments helps me keep lessons relevant and practical. Helping students grow into capable and confident programmers continues to inspire me.

My programming lessons are designed to help students understand coding through practical learning and logical thinking. We cover topics such as Python, Java, algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and debugging techniques. I focus on helping learners understand how programmes work rather than simply memorising code.
Each lesson is tailored to the student's experience level and goals. Beginners learn core concepts through simple projects, while more advanced learners tackle larger coding challenges and software development tasks. Regular hands-on practice helps strengthen confidence and technical skills.
I encourage students to approach programming with curiosity and persistence. Mistakes are treated as valuable learning opportunities that lead to improvement. My goal is to help learners become confident programmers who can think critically and solve problems independently.
