• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  As I was going through my MBA program in Canada, I noticed many gaps in terms of information availability and method of instruction. Be it ielts, GMAT, or finance, attempting them the first time is intimidating for the most resilient students. As I have gone through the process for these Exams, I wanted to share my knowledge, experience and bridge this huge gap.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  I have always loved Math and English as a child. These were my most favorite subjects. I have had the knack for observing nuances in these subjects that others usually miss. This helped me get better scores than others. Being a financial analyst, finance and numbers are second nature to me. Having a skin in the game definitely helps me with my teaching these subjects as well.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  I always felt I wish I knew what I know now about preparing for these Finance, GMAT and IELTS. I have always demonstrated a knack for managing a class of students and help the information penetrate easily. I set my students up for success by being empathetic towards their roadblocks and enhancing their strengths. The joy of student success is unmatchable and that is the natural outcome of my passion.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

  The biggest role model/teacher is my very first teacher and always by my side, my Father. He is the reason I have been able to view different perspectives to a subject I would otherwise miss. He has always set me up to succeed my Exams; be it learning to develop condensed notes, or trying to approach concepts in a systematic and structured manner holistically. My horizons have always been broadened through his teachings. My objective is to pass this knowledge on to my students.

• What are your keys to success?

  Passion. Persistence. Discipline.
  
  These three qualities have helped me gain the trust of my students and also succeed in the Exams I have prepared for. Thee three qualities are indispensable for me and have been the common denominator for achieving all my milestones in Life. Through my methods, I try to instill these values in my long term students as well.
