About Maira
My name is Maira, I am 25 years old and I lived and studied in Scotland during my university years. I graduated with a first class honours degree in Psychology from the University of Aberdeen, while still nurturing my passion for English and world literature.
After graduating, I started my freelance career as a tutor, translator and ghostwriter: all of which involves a thoughtful use of language, a lot of reading and studying and, above all, plenty of passion!

My teaching focuses on English GCSE/IGCSE preparation, both for Cambridge and Edexcel modules.
Here is a little bit about me: I graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a degree in Psychology and have since nurtured my passion for English language and literature by helping students achieve their academic goals and personal interests.
With me, each student will learn how to properly analyse poetry, dissect books, understand their symbolism and ace their IGCSE/GCSE exams.
In order to understand the material I teach, I use past papers, mock exams and books/poems to help my students gain independence and confidence in their approach to the subject.
