About Megan

I am currently a full-time student, majoring is Psychology. Right now, I’m working on getting my bachelor’s degree and then I will continue on to get a master’s. I found the transition into adulthood to be quite challenging and I certainly didn’t make it easy on myself. I was my worst enemy. I had myselfburied deep and climbing out was even harder, but I was able to claw my way out and am able to be happy and content in my own skin and with my life. I experienced a lot, but I learned a lot more. I want to be able to be there and to be able to help someone from feeling the way that I did. I was the epidome of a negative Nora and I worked really hard on myself, changing all of my not so helpful thought patterns and it led me to reinventing myself, essentially. I had alot of insecurities and anxieties that held me back from a lot. Depression and anxiety consumed me and ran my life, which took me nowhere good. I quickly became the person I never wanted to be...I didn’t think I would be able to become the person I am today. I can certainly relate to kids who struggle with similar issues and I have a lot of insight to share. The world is already filled with so much sadness that we as individuals can’t control so there is no reason we shouldn’t take control of ourselves and the way we live and feel so we don’t add anymore world sadness.

My method is based on YOU and your needs. Helping you navigate through crucial and intimidating times in life is my goal. I give assistance in the tricky areas in life that we all have struggled with, giving you the tools you need to be able to maintain a positive mindset/lifestyle, how to have healthy relationships, think rationally and independently, and everything else needed to make sure you have a solid ground to stand on and have the ability to grow into the person you really want to be and live a happy healthy life. I help change that negative thought processes to help with anxiety/depression and other stressors by giving you the tools to embrace those over-whelming feelings so that you can manage your anxiety and depression so it’s not debilitating. I focus on balancing your mind, body, and soul. We, together, will push out all that negative non sense that’s keeping you from being the balanced, happy, healthy, and well rounded person you know you can be. My goal is to help people be able to thrive and be able to be the best and happiest they can be. I want you feel confident and know you CAN do anything and you do have what it takes to get there. I teach mental balance, so that you can reach that inner balance between your mind and your body. Everything from your mindset to your relationships I am here to help you embrace the good and the beautiful things. I am able to introduce healthy hobbies like yoga, hiking, art, etc too. Having healthy hobbies is important. I also do offer academic tudoring as well, I tudor in English/Comp, Psychology, and History. Whether you just need an ear to listen to you and give insight, help with school or anything in between I’d be glad to assist with whatever you need. (:

There will be a $15.00 fee for cancelling without a 24 hour notice. The first session will be free, it will be a 15-30 min meeting where we can get a feel for one another and I can answer any questions you may have. I want you to feel confident and comfortable when working with me. The first session will allow us to lay some groundwork for future lessons.
