About Emily
Throughout my time at secondary school and college, my heart was with music. I play the guitar, piano and flute and it made me feel so at peace. Later when I got to college, I took Psychology and was overwhelmed with how well I understood and got on with the subject. Going into university, I applied for a degree in Criminology and Psychology. The criminology aspect Is so captivating but the Psychology subjects really were the ones that resonated with me! I have been to both secondary school and college, completing my GCSE's and A Levels. However, during my second year at college I hit a rough patch in my life where I needed a little extra help and I applied for Cognitive behavioural therapy and now I want to spread my help to others who are feeling a lack of positivity in their lives and how to get you back on track! I have been through a lot in the past couple of years and hope to spread how I turned around my day-to-day thinking by a few simple steps! The classes I teach are not at any degree level, I take all my teachings from personal experience and feel this is the appropriate way to help people, trust in my advice and I can help you change your day to day stresses around!

My teaching method is 30 minutes long. During the first 15 minutes, I like to use free association to find out about the person, who they are as a person and be able to understand their life and daily routine a little better. Most importantly I encourage the person to open up about what they are going through to understand in what shape or form I can help them development certain areas of their life. I then take the next 15 minutes to suggest positive change that they could incorporate into their routines to ensure they are getting the best out of their day and to ensure their routine is efficient for the individual to grow and use the techniques that I have given them to start to see their thinking from a different perspective. Each individual is different and I am fully aware that everyone has different needs and ways in which they like to order their life. I will take all of this into account and help the individual find out the best way in which they can feel happier in their day to day life, whether that's regarding online subjects, relationships, stress management or even general day to day tension.
