About Alana

I am a third year psychology student, and on track to complete a masters in forensic and investigative psychology next year. I have been playing music for most of my life, both through ABRSM graded qualifications, and more casual settings. I have lots of experience working with people from various different backgrounds, and I pride myself on being friendly and enthusiastic, but also driving and passionate.

Recently, I have been playing lots of gigs in Liverpool with my band, but have also played in orchestras, string quartets, choirs and as a soloist.

About the lesson

I am very flexible with lessons, but usually recommend 45 min lessons for younger students and 1hr-1.30hr lessons for older/ more serious students. I have a fun and relaxed approach to teaching, and have experience with a lot of different genres, so we can work together to find what is best for you.
I have qualifications in grade 8 violin, grade 7 piano, and grade 5 music theory. I also do a lot of singing, and have experience with vocal teaching.

My lessons are aimed for those who are new to music, or wishing to pick music up again after a length of time. Any ages are welcome :)

I am DBS checked, and have experience working with both older and younger people in a variety of settings.
