As a current Master’s student in Psychotherapy and Counseling, I would bring both academic understanding and practical experience into each lesson. My approach to tutoring would be supportive, student-focused, and tailored to suit each learner’s individual pace and style. I would use clear explanations, real-life examples, interactive discussions, and structured practice tasks to help students grasp core psychological concepts with confidence. My sessions would also focus on building strong writing and analytical skills for HSC-style short answers and extended responses. Lessons would typically run for 60 minutes, and I would ensure each session is well-structured—starting with a quick review, followed by new content, application through questions, and time for discussion and feedback. I am flexible and would adjust the pace based on the student’s goals and needs. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology (First Division) and have worked as a school counselor, in addition to completing clinical internships in hospitals and NGOs. These experiences would help me connect with students empathetically and explain complex ideas in a way that feels relevant and manageable. My lessons would be best suited for high school students (Years 11 and 12) preparing for the HSC Psychology exam or anyone looking to deepen their understanding of psychology. I will also be available for online lessons and would happily support students outside Sydney as well.
