I'm Heather, a UCSD Political Science / International Relations graduate with hands-on experience in research, advocacy, and academic support. I offer tutoring in English, essay and speech writing, and political science, helping students strengthen their writing, deepen their analytical thinking, and connect ideas to real-world issues.
Whether you're crafting a high school or college essay, preparing for college-level coursework, or exploring public policy and international relations, I tailor each session to your goals. My teaching style is collaborative and practical: I guide students through structure, clarity, and argumentation while building confidence and independence.
I've supported PhD candidates as a Research Assistant, university students as an Instructional Apprentice, and led advocacy campaigns as a Project Coordinator for a nonprofit. I specialize in qualitative research, public-facing writing, and policy engagement - skills I love helping others develop.
