About Ben
Creative writing is my strongest passion, and being able to share that with students excites me. Having been writing for 7 years, I have learned this is a skill, and a hobby, of commitment. It is also a skill anyone can do, all you need is a pencil and a paper, and now with digital document software it is even easier. Showing students that they can create expansive and vast stories, just like they read in books, is an incredible experience.

First lesson will teach restraint. I enjoy doing an exercise where students write a story of 100 words, depending on your writing level this can be easier or harder. Using this exercise I learn the strengths and weaknesses of my student. Following that, depending on the strengths and weaknesses, I select specific excerpts from published works. After review, I get students to write parallel to that excerpt, contrasting their work to it, showing how they can excel in the same structure. My lessons will be for high school and below.
