About Laura
I love writing and I have written a novel which I will submit to literary agents in the near future. I have just finished editing my friend's memoir and she said my feedback was better than her PhD supervisor's. I have published short stories nationally and internationally. E.g. New Writing Scotland and The International Literary Quarterly.

I have completed a PhD in Creative Writing at the University of St Andrews and I have an extensive track record in publishing fiction and some poetry. I am an award-winning writer and have taught Creative Writing at the University of St Andrews, the University of Glasgow, and at a prestigious summer school based at the University of Edinburgh called SUISS. I’m friendly and encouraging and know how nerve wracking it is to share your work! My feedback from teaching creative writing has been very positive. In my last black of tutoring, all students rated my lessons ‘outstanding’.
