Hey, I’m Matt from Georgetown, Kentucky—a dedicated purple belt in Karate with a passion for teaching and sharing what I’ve learned. I’m working on gaining teaching experience and love helping total beginners and kids build strong basics in a chill but focused way. Karate isn’t just a hobby for me; it’s a journey I’m committed to growing in, and I want to help you start yours right. I specialize in teaching total beginners and kids who have zero experience in self-defense or fighting. My lessons strike a perfect balance between discipline and a relaxed, friendly vibe—no boring drill sergeant stuff, but enough structure to help you progress. Sparring is the main focus because that’s where real skills come alive, but I also mix in kata and practical self-defense techniques that you can actually use in everyday situations.
What sets my lessons apart? I work one-on-one, so you get personalized attention tailored to your pace and goals. While I’m still a purple belt and building my own journey, I’m committed to being the best basic Karate teacher I can be. My fresh perspective means I remember what it’s like starting out, and I’m here to guide you step-by-step with patience and real focus.
