About Radhika
Hi, my name is Radhika. I am currently pursing my Master's in English Literature from SNDT Women's University, Mumbai. I am a resident of Mumbai for the last 30 odd years!!! I graduated in English Literature from D.G. Ruparel College and also have a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Media from Sophiya.
It's my love for stories that had inspired me to take Literature. I also have 10 years of work experience in research and content writing. However, I feel i can contribute a lot as a teacher too. I would love to mentor students who need help with this subject as I feel having a good knowledge of English in today's rapidly growing global environment is imperative.
I believe that our academics mostly focus on the written and listening skills but for being competent in English equal emphasis needs to be placed on reading as well as speaking. To make language learning interesting, I would like to introduce concepts through tasks and stories which I believe makes more of an impact than meaningless rote learning. For example, a newspaper article is a great resource for teaching grammar, vocabulary, initiating a group/individual discussion, writing caption which encourages the integration of all four skills reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
If you are stuck up or want to make learning more interesting, please feel free to get in touch with me. I would love to get an opportunity to mentor students from Std. VII to X from either SSC, ICSE, or CBSE based in Mumbai and more specifically Goregaon.
