About Luis
I am a PhD Researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Engineering and hold a First-Class MEng in Mechanical Engineering.
Scientific programming forms a substantial part of my research and applied work. I use Python extensively for AI, modelling, numerical analysis, data processing and autonomous systems, alongside MATLAB experience from engineering.
My university teaching experience includes computationally intensive courses such as:

How I teach
I normally connect four stages:
Mathematical idea → algorithm → implementation → interpretation
This is particularly useful when programming is being taught as part of another subject and the difficulty is not simply syntax, but understanding how the underlying technical method should be translated into code.
Lessons are suitable both for students learning technical programming from the beginning and those who already know the basics but want to become more confident using Python or MATLAB within their degree.
