About Alonso
Hello! I'm Alonso Chen, a passionate tutor dedicated to helping students excel in mathematics. I am a qualified and active high school maths teacher looking to take on a couple more private tutoring students. I have also got a background in Engineering and business management, which equipped me with a strong understanding of maths concepts applied in various courses, allowing me to adjust my lessons based on individual needs. I realised how much difference having a good teacher makes in shaping a student's understanding, which inspired me to become a tutor and provide those who needs some extra help outside of class a chance to succeed. I'm excited to be a part of your journey towards your academic goals and I hope my input can help you become successful in achieving them.

In general, my tutoring sessions will be one to one and a half hours long. start with an explanation of key concepts that is interactive and tailored for individual students, which would take 15-30 minutes depending on the amount/complexity of concepts. It will be followed by me guiding students through some practice questions, which would take 30-60 minutes,. Students are welcome to throw questions at me, or else I would be giving questions to you. I promise I would try to make maths enjoyable along the process.
