About Deborah Titilayo
I have a joyful, reflective, and approachable personality that helps keep learners engaged, motivated, and excited about the learning process. I am passionate about helping students understand complex concepts in the subjects I teach, breaking them down into simple and relatable ideas that are easy to grasp.
Beyond academic success, I aim to help learners develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their environment, and the world around them. I believe that education should equip students with the knowledge, confidence, and critical thinking skills needed to navigate life effectively and achieve personal fulfillment. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, think independently, and reach their full potential.

I believe that every student is intelligent and already possesses some level of knowledge and understanding of what they are learning. My role as a tutor is to build on that foundation, helping learners develop confidence, critical thinking skills, and a deeper understanding of their subjects.
My teaching approach is learner-centered and interactive. I make use of elicitation techniques from the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) lesson structure, concept-checking questions, guided discussions, and storytelling to make lessons engaging, meaningful, and easy to understand.
Lessons are tailored to each learner's individual needs and typically last between 30 and 45 minutes, ensuring that students remain focused, motivated, and actively involved in the learning process.
I hold a First-Class Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. I am currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and look forward to commencing a PhD in the near future.
I have been teaching professionally since 2020, gaining valuable experience in supporting learners from diverse backgrounds. After taking a short break to complete my Master's degree, I resumed teaching in 2023 and remain passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals and reach their full potential.
I am particularly experienced in working with learners from Primary 4 through to Senior Secondary School 3 (SS3) and am committed to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where every student can thrive.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
1. I have known Deborah Titilayo for about 25 years. As her dad, I watched her grow from a curious, thoughtful child into the intelligent and compassionate educator she is today. Deborah has a positive character and she is driven by a love for learning and passing knowledge to others.
2. Deborah is the kind of Superprof every student hopes for. She is sociable and makes students feel comfortable. She is a God-lover whose kindness and patience show in how she teaches. She is kind to a fault and very accommodating of different learning styles. She earned a First Class in her undergraduate degree and holds a master's in educational leadership. Indeed, teaching comes naturally to her.
3. I have seen her explain seemingly difficult ideas to younger ones and family members in a way that made their faces light up. She does not just give answers, she asks probing questions to stimulate the minds of her students and guides them until a topic is understood. That same patience underpinned by her likeness for teaching makes her stand out as an educator.
4. I recommend Deborah without hesitation because she demonstrates academic excellence with a heart for people. Students won't just learn from her, they will feel supported, respected, and confident to learn and grow. On a global platform like Superprof, her intelligence, leadership training, and genuine care for others will make her a great resource person to students.Titilayo taught me a lot both academically growing up. What I appreciate the most about her teaching style is her patience. She takes her time teaching and understands that not everyone learns at the same pace. She tries to use real life examples to improve understanding. She is knowledgeable and caring.
We’ve shared so many experiences that it is difficult to pick one. An experience we shared a lot of was titilayo teaching me how to find bible chapters that fit a particular situation I’m facing. She made me understand that a lot of things I go through, people in the bible have gone through similar situations and following their stories showed me how to overcome obstacles.Deborah is my sister. So I can say I have been in a privileged position to watch her grow with the passion and zeal to imbibe knowledge into others.
From a very young age she was already enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge with our youngest brother and anyone that would give her the chance to be heard by her.
I can vouch for her diligence in how she has strived to attain the necessary qualifications to be top notch in her teaching endeavors.I have known Deborah Titilayo for many years. I saw her fantastic teaching skills when she led a small group, teaching children of different ages. What impressed me most was how well she connected with each child. No matter their age, Deborah was great at building a good relationship with them, making each student feel important and understood.
Her dedication to teaching kids is truly amazing. She's so enthusiastic and has a real talent for making learning both work well and be enjoyable. I especially love her patient and caring way of teaching, which makes a safe and encouraging space for young learners to do their best.We went to school together. And she tutored me when I needed help with schoolwork. She is a fantastic teacher
