About Heather
Hi, my name is Heather. I am an optimistic and cheerful person, and my university major is tourism management, so my Mandarin is quite standard. In addition, I have more than 4 years of Chinese teaching experience, all one-on-one, online and offline classes. My students are mainly from Korea and Japan, and I find that the advantage of Korean students learning Chinese is that the pronunciation of Korean is similar to that of Chinese. The advantage of the Japanese students is that a large part of the Japanese characters are derived from Chinese characters.
Most importantly, I like to exchange Chinese culture with the students, and also learn about the culture of their country through the students. I think teaching Chinese is a very interesting process and a process of mutual learning.
Finally, let me share my class style, I am a lighthearted and humorous teacher. I prefer interactive classes and often ask students questions to make sure they understand. I think it is very important for Chinese teachers to explain grammar in a simple way, the simpler the better. I often praise students for doing well, which can help students build self-confidence.

I`m teaching teens and adults, beginner level. For everyone who wants to learn how to speak Chinese in everyday life. I also teach HSK up to level 6. My classes are interactive.I make use of role play and encourage students to speak.
