About Georgina
I am currently an English teacher in a secondary school. I specialise in the AQA English Language and English Literature GCSE syllabus, and am familiar with the national curriculum across both KS3 and KS4.
I became an English teacher in order to be able to give pupils the vocabulary to express themselves. In lessons, I strive to give pupils sophisticated words that enable them to specifically pinpoint thoughts and feelings to then implement in their work.
I enjoy reading, and anything I can do to promote the love of reading that I believe everyone should have, I will do.

Hello! My name is Georgina, and I believe that you get the most from education when you are engaged and enthusiastic. I bring my passion for my subject alive and I hope that this resonates with you.
I try to maintain a metacognitive approach to learning, one where the tutee is able to identify the skills needed to succeed in a task. This creates a learner who is reflective, and can use their initiative in all aspects of life and understands the thought process required to achieve a goal.
Finally, I aim to build a good relationship with tutees. I believe that having a good working relationship will create a productive working environment conducive to learning.
