About Elaine

I am passionate about helping others learn and pride myself on being a patient and supportive teacher. No matter your learning style or ability, I am here to guide you every step of the way. As a native English speaker from Ireland, I bring a warm, engaging, and encouraging approach to every lesson.

I have completed a 120-hour Advanced International TEFL certification, along with 30 hours of Advanced Grammar training, which has strengthened my understanding of language structure and effective teaching methodologies. This training, combined with my classroom experience, allows me to confidently support students in improving their speaking, grammar, pronunciation, and overall fluency.

I love conversation, reading, and delivering presentations, and I strive to make learning both enjoyable and effective. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident expressing themselves and motivated to reach their full potential.

About the lesson

I am currently teaching English in Vietnam, working with a wide range of students from primary school through to high school. Teaching mixed ages and abilities has helped me become adaptable, patient, and creative in my approach. I understand that every student learns differently, and I adjust my lessons to suit individual needs, learning speeds, and goals.

A typical class begins with a warm-up activity to build confidence and create a comfortable learning environment. This is followed by a focused lesson targeting a key skill area — speaking, listening, reading, or writing — depending on the student’s level and objectives.

We then move into guided practice through discussions, role-plays, interactive exercises, or real-life situations. With younger students, I incorporate engaging activities to maintain energy and focus, while older students benefit from structured practice in grammar, fluency, presentations, and exam preparation.

Each lesson finishes with a short review to reinforce key points, answer questions, and track progress. My goal is to deliver structured, engaging lessons that not only improve language ability but also build genuine confidence in using English in real-world situations.
