About Matthew
I have experience teaching Mathematics across Years 7–12 and really enjoy helping students develop their confidence and realize that math doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.
Working with students every day has given me a strong understanding of the NSW Mathematics curriculum, the areas students commonly find challenging, and how to explain concepts in different ways until they make sense.
I’m patient, approachable and understand that every student learns differently. I want students to feel completely comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and telling me when something still doesn’t make sense.
Whether you’re looking to catch up, improve your results, prepare for an upcoming assessment or push towards a higher HSC result, I’ll work with you at your level and help you make steady progress.

As a qualified secondary Mathematics teacher, I understand that every student learns differently. My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether they’re looking to build confidence, catch up on difficult concepts, prepare for an assessment, or push towards higher results.
I tutor students from Years 7–12, including HSC Mathematics Standard and Advanced. My approach focuses on making mathematics clear and approachable by breaking challenging concepts into manageable steps and explaining the reasoning behind the maths, rather than simply memorising formulas.
Lessons can include concept teaching, worked examples, targeted practice, homework and assessment support, and exam preparation. For senior students, I can also work through HSC-style and past-paper questions, helping develop effective problem-solving techniques and exam strategies.
Most importantly, I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building genuine confidence in mathematics.
