About Matthew

I am a fully qualified and experienced secondary level music educator. I received my musical education at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music and have been regularly performing live at events and functions throughout the U.K. and Europe. I also have Head of Music Department experience at secondary school level.

About the lesson

I believe in a personalised approach to teaching and I will adapt my teaching methods to suit your learning style.

I can offer bespoke GCSE music tuition for all exam boards and I can also offer electric bass, guitar and singing lessons from a complete beginner level all through through to advanced level on bass guitar.
I can provide exam preparation for Trinity Rock & Pop, ABRSM and RSL Rock School.

I also specialise in group teaching. This may be group music tuition or it could even be for 10 hour band project over the summer holidays where I can teach the essential skills to start thinking about a career in the performance aspect of the music industry.
This will be tailored to your needs and I will be happy to discuss more curriculum options with you.

Matthew is a very positive and engaging guitar teacher. His lessons are informative and fun, he is very easy to get along with. As well as being a good teacher he is also a practising musician and plays regularly with a popular band. He is reliable and trustworthy and I would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking a guitar teaching for any age group
