About Flora
MY BACKGROUND
My background/education/experience includes the following:
• gaining a BA Degree in Music Performance; Diploma in Management; Level 3 Certificates in Teaching, Counselling Studies, Administration, Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Childcare and Education; Level 2 Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Coaching; Certificates: Care Certificate, Stress Management, SEN Teaching Assistant, Violin (Grade 8 Distinction), Singing (Grade 7 Merit), Piano (Grade 3 – Merit), First Aid
• Graduate of several workshops on Coaching, Teaching and Counselling
• Recipient of funding via Help Musicians and BAPAM (British Association for Performing Arts in Medicine) to study Counselling and/or Psychotherapy
• many years of orchestral, community, education, libraries, music, entertainment, broadcasting, artistic, creative, wellbeing, coaching and support work to diverse populations i.e. BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra
• co-designed, piloted and facilitated ‘Music Story Rhymes’ with Lambeth Libraries in London for over two years
• many years as Personal Assistant, Music Support Assistant/Worker and Learning Support Assistant I.e. Channel 4, WAC and Sadler’s Wells
• supporting clients and students via many different genres including classical, jazz, pop and rock music
• I am a 4-time award winning professional
I have piloted, facilitated and co-designed bespoke coaching programmes, workshops and courses for all age groups – that support, assist and improve various areas including development, administration, management, music performance, performance, coaching skills (i.e. parents, producers and sport), revenue and healing (via music, breathwork, singing, voice and sound).

I developed my singer-song writing skills further to being advised to by Hollywood film composer and arranger etc., Michael Kamen. I later recorded several demos of original songs under the guidance, inspiration, encouragement and/or support of various including Roy Ayers, Omar, Reggae Philharmonic Orchestra, former King band member, Mike Roberts and Grammy award winning producer, Steve McClaughlin.

Born in Coventry in the West Midlands UK, I am both British and Vincentian. I have also lived and studied in Scotland, Spain and the US before returning to the UK. I currently live in London.

I coach music performance to various including vocalists and singers. My approach includes aspects of talent, artist and business development coaching. I also support persons with SEN and behaviour, communication, interaction and/or learning difficulties and disabilities and write songs so am able to support with this too.

Length of lessons can be 30 minutes, 60 minutes or 90 minutes.
I am qualified to degree level.
I have supported music and entertainment industry professionals before with development, interviews, feedback re. recordings and coaching. Testimonials are available to read via my website and on request.

For up to 3 sessions, my fees are only £25 an hour.
From lesson number 4, my fees will start from £40 an hour depending on what coaching, music tuition, training or music service is required.
