About Rachel
I’m a friendly, passionate and qualified music teacher with a background in performing, songwriting, and teaching. I offer personalised 1-to-1 tuition in piano, vocals, music technology, acoustic guitar, and music theory for students of all ages and levels. With years of experience both on stage and in the studio, I love helping others discover the joy of making music, whether that means learning your first chords, developing your vocal technique, producing tracks in a DAW, or working towards a theory exam. My lessons are always tailored to you – I adapt to your learning style, interests, and goals to keep sessions engaging, supportive, and inspiring. I have recently completed my PGCE in Secondary Music education and have worked with students across schools, private tuition, and community settings. I specialise in helping learners build confidence, explore creativity, and progress at their own pace. Whether you’re interested in songwriting, recording, performing, just having fun with music or have an exam to prepare for, I’m here to help you grow.

My lessons are relaxed, creative, and fully tailored to each student. Whether you’re learning for fun, aiming for exams, or developing your songwriting or production skills, I adapt my approach to suit your goals, pace, and musical interests. I focus on building confidence and enjoyment while supporting strong musical foundations — and I always encourage creativity, curiosity, and expression. Lessons can include playing by ear, reading music, improvisation, songwriting, or learning your favourite songs — depending on what inspires you most. I work with all ages and experience levels, and I’m happy to teach both online and in-person.
