About Aidan

Hi! I’m from Scotland and studied Mechanical Engineering at university. I then trained through the Teach First programme, gaining Qualified Teacher Status and a PGDE. I’ve taught physics for many years, including leading a department in London where my students achieved top 1% progress results nationally. More recently, I worked as a science teacher and Head of Year at a British school in Madrid. I’m passionate about helping students understand physics clearly and enjoyably, and I’m here to support you every step of the way!

About the lesson

- Each lesson starts with a chat to understand your goals and what you find easy or tricky in the subject.

- You’ll complete a quick diagnostic assessment, which I’ll mark to tailor future lessons just for you.

- Lessons will include clear explanations, worked examples, short practice tasks, and helpful tips on revision and homework.

Before working with Aidan, I was really struggling to keep up in GCSE Physics. He took the time to understand where I was getting stuck and explained things in a way that finally made sense to me. His lessons were well structured — we’d go over a topic together, work through examples, and then I’d try some questions on my own with his support.

What really helped was how approachable he was. I never felt embarrassed to ask questions, and he always gave me practical tips for revising outside of lessons.

Thanks to Aidan, I went from a grade 5 to a grade 8 and actually started to enjoy Physics! I’d 100% recommend him to anyone who wants clear explanations and a tutor who genuinely cares.
