I offer maths tutoring for primary-aged children, from Nursery to Year 6, with a particular focus on making learning enjoyable, engaging, and confidence-boosting. I believe that all children can succeed in maths when they are supported with patience, positivity, and the right strategies. My teaching approach is child-led and adaptive. I take time to understand each pupil’s starting point, identify misconceptions, and tailor lessons to meet their specific needs. I use a variety of practical activities, visuals, games, and questioning techniques to make maths meaningful and memorable. I also help children learn from their mistakes by creating a safe environment where they feel comfortable exploring ideas and taking risks. A typical session lasts around 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the age and attention span of the child. Lessons can be delivered at your home in North London. I am a recently qualified primary teacher (PGCE) with a specialism in maths. I have experience teaching full classes and working one-on-one or in small groups as a Teaching Assistant across several schools, supporting children from Nursery to Year 4, including those with additional needs. Whether your child needs extra support, a confidence boost, or greater challenge in maths, I’m here to help them feel successful and enjoy their learning.
