About Laura
Hi there! My name is Laura, and I'm a friendly and patient tutor. I have a passion for making lessons enjoyable and easy to understand for my students. I believe that anyone can excel in English with the right guidance and a positive attitude. I have been teaching for twenty years and have helped many students improve their English skills and build their confidence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications Education with a specialization in Audio Visual
- Qualified Irish Primary School Teacher.
- Twenty years of experience teaching at primary school level
- Qualified speech and drama teacher
- 5 years of experience teaching speech and drama in Ireland
- Familiarity with the national curriculum and teaching methods.
Teaching Approach:
My teaching approach is centered around making my lessons fun, engaging, and relatable. I believe that hands-on activities, visual aids, and interactive games can help students grasp the language more easily. I tailor my lessons to each student's individual needs and learning style, ensuring they feel supported and motivated throughout the learning process.

Lesson Structure:

3. Practice Exercises: We'll work on a variety of practice exercises, including worksheets, online games, and interactive activities. This will help reinforce the vocabulary and real-life usage.
4. Guided Practice: I will provide step-by-step guidance and support as we work through each theme. I encourage students to ask questions and actively participate during all lessons.
5. Independent Practice: Students will complete a set of independent practice activities to apply what they've learned. I will be available to answer questions and provide feedback as they work.
6. Recap and Review: We'll wrap up the lesson by summarizing the key points and vocabulary covered and reviewing any challenging areas. I'll also provide suggestions for at-home practice to strengthen their skills further.
