About Megan

Whether your child is preparing for the 11+, working towards their SATs or simply needs extra support with English, I’m here to help.

I’m a qualified primary school teacher with experience teaching and tutoring children in Years 3–6. As a classroom teacher, I understand the current curriculum and the challenges children face in school. I use this knowledge to create engaging, personalised lessons that help children develop confidence, strengthen their skills and enjoy learning.

I believe every child can succeed when they are taught in a way that suits them. My lessons are carefully adapted to each learner’s strengths, areas for development and learning style. I focus on building understanding rather than memorisation so that children become confident, independent learners.

About the lesson

Many children struggle because they have gaps in their learning or lack confidence in their own ability. I create a calm, encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and challenging themselves. As their confidence grows, so does their progress.

Lessons are interactive, engaging and tailored to your child’s individual needs. I regularly use games, discussion, modelled examples and guided practice to ensure learning is enjoyable while maintaining high expectations.

The first lesson will involve me getting to know your child, their strengths and weaknesses and how best they learn. From there, we will work towards building confidence in the subject and working through the curriculum. If we are preparing for the SATs or specific 11+, we will work through past papers and tips and tricks to best help them thrive when sitting the exam.

Every child learns differently and it is my goal to create a safe space where learning can be fun and your child can flourish. I love what I do and could not imagine ever having another profession. I enjoy being able to make the learning experience fun and exciting, whilst building confidence and a joy for learning.
