About Charlotte
I am a fully qualified and experienced Primary Teacher, teaching since 2017, and I specialise in maths for children aged 5–11. With a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum, I provide engaging and structured lessons that build confidence and help every child reach their potential. I have successfully supported pupils in preparing for SATs and 11+ exams, guiding them to feel calm, capable, and ready for success. My approach is professional, patient, and always tailored to the individual needs of each learner.

I believe every child can enjoy and succeed in maths when lessons are tailored to their individual needs and learning style. My tutoring is patient, encouraging, and highly structured — I break concepts down into clear, manageable steps and use practical examples to make abstract ideas easier to grasp. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and includes: A quick warm-up to build confidence and recall key skills A focus on one or two target areas, explained step by step Guided practice with plenty of encouragement and feedback A short review at the end to check understanding and celebrate progress I’m a qualified Primary Teacher with classroom experience across all year groups (ages 5–11). I have worked with children of all abilities, including those who need extra support to catch up, as well as those preparing for higher-level challenges such as the 11+ entrance exams. My lessons are for primary pupils (ages 5–11) who may need: General maths support in line with the National Curriculum Confidence-building and targeted revision for KS2 SATs Specialist practice and exam techniques for the 11+ Above all, my goal is to help children feel more confident, capable, and positive about their maths learning.
