About Ruth

I am a fully qualified secondary science teacher, specialising in biology but able to teach chemistry and physics as well.
I have a degree in Biochemistry from university of Salford and 2 years teaching experience.
I also have an interest in mythology and ancient civilisations.

About the lesson

My teaching practice is based around instilling information using a variety of interactive and engaging tasks.
I believe if pupils are having fun while learning they are relaxed and can uptake and memorise information better, without even realising it.

I like to build tasks that help develop key skills for further education as well. Reaserch and investigation activities, as well as essay writing and creating a balanced argument.

The basic knowledge is there, just need to practice, review and build up that specific knowledge for A-level. Its been a difficult year, and sjes doing really well despite that.
