About Lucy-Anne
I have been teaching either French or English at university level (in France and in England) for 6 years. I also worked in a French high school for a year, taught younger children (aged 3-10) and hosted a French conversation club for retired people, so I can adapt my teaching to any age group.
I am passionate about literature (I have just finished my PhD in English literature), popular culture (music and cinema mostly) and really care about current affairs.

My approach to teaching puts students at the centre of learning. My classes are tailored to the student's needs and interests, however for each topic there would be an element of speaking, grammar work and a thematic approach to vocabulary.
I am also happy to let the student guide the lesson, if they have a specific aim in mind for instance or using the homework that they have been set at school as a key focus for that lesson.
