About Mbali
I am a graduate from Wits School of Education, with 4 years teaching experience. I am a youth development worker and invest a lot of my time doing NGO projects that promote academia in township areas. I have a passion for people and my line of work shows that. I am a public speaker and a published author.
I am a sport fanatic mainly for netball and basketball.

My teaching methods are learner-centred. I try to be the teacher I never had in school.
I introduce my lessons by asking my learner's questions based on the topic by tapping into their prior knowledge. This is normally is a form of a game, I promote good relationships in class so I make sure learners work with a partner or in groups at the beginning of the lesson, this is to get learners hooked interested and excited for the lessons.
Another method I use is I do a hook presentation based on the lesson topic.
I present my lessons in such a way that it is inclusive of every learning style whether it's auditory, visual or kinesthetic. I use pictures, videos, PowerPoint presentation just to name a few.
During the lesson, I explain the content in more detail and use a lot of examples. I facilitate the lesson then guide them through the content, allow for questions, then give them a small activity that will scaffold the learners and they work individually.
Then at the end of the lessons, I always recap on what we've learnt in a form of a quiz game of the important aspects of the content. This has always worked for me. Learners are very competitive so this promotes attentive listening and participation during the lesson.
