About Khulekile
I hold a PGCE in IsiZulu and Life Orientation completed at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a Bachelor of Social Science Degree in Psychology and Criminology also completed at The University of KwaZulu-Natal, a 120-hour TEFL certificate completed online at Teach TEFL Language School, and a Comprehensive Computer Literacy Certificate completed at Steppingstone Technologies. I have experience teaching children of ages 7-18 years. My teaching experience includes 4 weeks of teaching practice at Senzokwethu High School and 6 weeks of teaching practice at Lamontville High School. I am currently working as an online teacher at Learnavu Academy teaching IsiZulu and English to children of ages 7-12 years, grade 3-7. I am also volunteering as a homework assistant to school children in my community. My hobbies are reading, volunteering, student teaching and, participating in sports.

I use the psychology course I learned from my Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology and Criminology degree to motivate children to cooperate with each other and treat their classmates with respect, as well as to encourage their wonderful creativity and curiosity to learn more about their world. I prepare my own classroom materials or use what is provided by the school and ensure that the premises are safe and clean. When structuring my lesson plan, I use a range of teaching approaches and methods that will successfully engage all the children in the classroom.
