About Silvia
Hi! I'm Silvia, a teacher specializing in support for middle school students, a technology teacher, and a digital skills expert. I earned a Master's Degree in Design with honors and honorable mention, and I have extensive experience in both public schools and adult education. As an accredited trainer in the European DigComp 2.2 framework, I help children and adults develop real independence in using technology. My classes cover the five key areas of digital technology: Information Search and Management: Learning to Search Online Safely and Critically. Communication and Collaboration: Effective Use of Email, Educational Platforms, and Sharing Tools. Digital Content Creation: From the Office/Google Suite to Basic Graphics, and Getting Started with Educational Coding (Scratch). Online Security: Data Protection and Mindful Browsing. Problem Solving: Solving the Small and Large IT Problems of Everyday Life. - My method for Educational Support for DSA/BES: Thanks to my TFA qualification in Support, I support children and young people in middle and elementary schools to help them develop a personalized and effective study method. I use technology as a compensatory tool (interactive concept maps, speech synthesizers, visual organizers) to make studying easier, more accessible, and stress-free. - What I can do for you: For middle school students: Homework help, technology tutoring (theory and technical drawing), DSA/BES support, and study method. - For adults and workers: Computer literacy, preparation for digital certifications (DigComp 2.2), practical use of PCs, tablets, and the Office package. - Teaching also in English: Having studied (Master's Degree in Digital Design) and worked in the United Kingdom, and being certified as a C2, I can also teach lessons in English for those who need it. Lessons are held via webcam in a relaxed, empathetic environment, focused on your specific objectives. I'm waiting for you for our first lesson!

My teaching approach is based on personalization, empathy, and the practical use of technology: Specialized Support and After-School Programs: 1. I help students with learning disabilities (LD/SEN) structure concept maps, summaries, and visual cues to facilitate memorization and study of all school subjects. 2. Technology and Drawing (Middle Schools): Clear explanations of theoretical concepts and practical, step-by-step technical drawing exercises. 3. Computer Science and Digital Skills: Basic computer lessons, responsible use of computers/tablets, Google/Office tools, and basic coding (Scratch). Lessons are held via webcam in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment, aimed at enhancing each student's strengths.
