About Kyle
From 2010-2022, I was an ESL teacher in Hangzhou, China. I taught speaking, phonics, reading and writing to students from kindergarten to grade six.
After returning to Canada in 2022, I have been employed as a reading intervention coach for students in Ontario from grade one to eight.
I'm very professional and personable, with excellent communication skills and the ability to foster rapport with anyone.

I've learned that the most important aspect of teaching is to build rapport and a foundation of trust with your students. Most children who fall behind in school lose confidence and, ultimately, the belief they can ever succeed. The first steps in fostering educational growth are to connect with the student and understand they must learn at their own pace.
EVERYONE LEARNS DIFFERENTLY!
Once that trust is established, they will soon realize it was never their fault to begin with, and the door to learning will open.
