About Rebekah
A graduate of the University of Nottingham, I am a fully qualified teacher with almost 20 years experience. I have worked in both the secondary and primary sectors, teaching up to A-level. I am an A-level Principal Examiner and senior GCSE examiner with a major UK exam board. I also mark and moderate for most other exam boards for qualifications such as iGCSE, iAS level, Singapore O and A levels. As a tutor, I have worked extensively in my local area. However, I have also tutored online for entrance examinations for some of the UK's top public schools, with a 100% pass rate. I have also tutored a number of successful scholarship applicants including Eton King's Scholars and Harrow. I have experience of tutoring for the 11+, particularly the Lincolnshire Consortium of Grammar Schools. A mum of 3 myself, I care passionately about young people and their education and understand the pressures that both young people and their parents are under.

My lessons are prepared and tailored to the needs of the students. I use Google Apps such as Docs and Slides. Lessons are academic, but I do try to make them engaging by using short video clips, games or other activities where appropriate. For older students, I try to take my lead from them and can focus on either content or exam technique, or a mixture of both. For some students, my focus will primarily be on building their confidence in the subject. I am happy to support with school work, homework and coursework (within the bounds of what is acceptable). I am also willing to set and mark 1 piece of homework per week if this is required. (Anything above this would be subject to an additional charge.)
