About Kimberly
I have been tutoring online for three years and have helped students gain more confidence in their abilities. My long-term students have been pleased with my help and have succeeded in their exams. I am currently tutoring around 10 students and am mentoring 3 students about University applications. I am highly competent in my subject, having received an A* at GCSE and A-Level through mastering my revision technique and attending extra-curricular clubs to supplement my learning and display my love for the subject.

I believe that the key to a good grade/understanding of English can only be fostered through engaging with a variety of texts. Thus, my teaching method focuses on reading a wide range of books, plays and poems in order to critically analyse and read said texts. This method is beneficial as it means that a student will have a deeper understanding of the writer's intentions and can more easily look out for techniques. To fully understand my methodology I will use the free meeting to scope out the areas that the student must focus on and come up with an initial plan on how to improve. Once we have reached this stage of the tutoring, I will assess the improvements the student has made and see whether they need additional assistance, or if it is more beneficial to let them develop further on their own.

Iam happy to negotiate prices if you want to book a certain number of lessons in advance. I would also advise having a "taster lesson" to gauge whether we get along well first, before committing to more lessons!
