About Anna
I have four years of teaching and tutoring experience with students in kindergarten through sixth grade. My freshman year of college I worked directly with EL students in reading. During my junior year, I taught a kindergarten class science once a week for a semester. During my senior year, I student taught two semesters, one in a kindergarten classroom and the secondsemester in a special education classroom where I taught math and ELA to third through sixth grade.

I’m Anna! I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Throughout my years in school, I realized that the classes I appreciated most weren’t always the topics that I was particularly interested in. Rather it was the teacher who made it enjoyable. These teachers were alwaysengaging and they went the extra mile to provide additional help and clarification. I try to bring this knowledge to my tutoring approach and try to make learning and enriching experience. I use lesson plans in which I introduce topics in a fun and interesting way. Then, I explicitly teach the material. After, I ensure that the student has time for independent practice. Of course, this approach can be adjusted to meet the students needs and the topics being taught.
