About Kayla
Growing up I've always wanted to be a teacher. I started my pre-college journey student teaching at local middle schools grades 1-5. I started college as an elementary education major but then switched to the Journalism College. In my free time, I volunteer with after-school programs at elementary schools focusing on reading literacy. I've also been a mentor for three elementary students for the last two years. In my free time, I love reading, walking my dog, getting coffee with friends, and spending time outdoors. Helping the community around me and helping others grow is one of many aspects that warms my heart!
