About Erin

I am a recent graduate from Tufts University with degrees in Archaeology and Fine Arts and a Chemistry minor, focused in Organic and Biochemistry. Currently, I work as an art conservation technician, applying my chemistry knowledge daily. During my time at Tufts, I maintained a GPA of 3.96 and tutored students in Organic Chemistry. I aim to help students not only achieve high scores but also truly understand the topics at hand. As a tutor, I believe that any subject, no matter the difficulty, can be mastered with supportive environments and tested practice techniques. My background in Archaeology gives me a solid foundation in history and writing, allowing me to assist students with university writing and college application essays. I can also guide students through the college application process, including standardized test preparation and applications. Overall, my diverse academic background equips me to effectively tutor a wide range of subjects and offer students unique perspectives to ensure their success. Often, students need alternative viewpoints to gain comprehensive understandings of complex concepts, and I am here to guide them through that process.

About the lesson

I have no standard lesson plans; rather, I cater my lessons to each student's needs. I will begin tutoring by first understanding the student's goal and identifying what obstacles currently exist that are hindering those goals. After identifying your goals and difficulties, we will work together to determine the best steps forward. This might include more focus on topics or improving study skills. There is no one-size-fits-all all, and creating individualized lesson plans is my main priority as a tutor, to ensure every student can achieve their goals.
