About Susannah
I am a recent Psychology graduate who is passionate about Psychology as a subject. I believe it is an incredibly important subject and is relevant to so many areas of society. I'm also passionate about helping students succeed and realise their potential, as I know from experience that exams can be daunting, as well as stressful. However, I believe that any student, if they prepare correctly, has the ability to succeed and achieve their goals.

I believe that active recall is the best method of preparing well for an exam. You need to know before the time comes that you not only know the information, but that you can retrieve it and use it correctly to pass the exam. When using passive methods such as copying information from a textbook or creating mind-maps, we are inputting the information, however, these methods say little about our ability to retrieve/output this information, and to use it to fit the demands of an exam question. Unfortunately, this is likely to hinder your performance. Active methods such as frequent testing (using flashcards etc) and answering questions from past papers force our brains to search for the information ourselves, which feels like much more hard work, however, by putting yourself in a similar position to what you will need to do in the exam, will ensure you are much more likely to succeed.
