About Dakota
I recently graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Communication and Sociology. I have been tutoring privately since my freshman year of high-school and continued peer education throughout college, including being an Honors Program mentor. Both of my majors required high volumes of reading, writing, and communication (ha-ha), so I am confident in my ability to improve a student's academic English skills!

My teaching style is less formal than traditional educational spaces. I prefer to treat my students as equals to me. I believe that this makes me seem to be a more trustworthy as a source of information, and also makes them more comfortable with asking questions and expressing confusion.
