About Clara
I am an A-Level Psychology tutor with a strong academic background in the subject, having achieved an A* at A-Level. Psychology was a subject I genuinely enjoyed and was fascinated by, and I now want to help other students gain the same confidence and success. My tutoring approach for A-Level Psychology is structured, supportive, and exam-focused, with an emphasis on helping students genuinely understand key theories, studies, and debates rather than relying on memorisation. I break down complex content into clear, manageable sections and use real-life examples to strengthen understanding and recall, while placing strong focus on exam technique, including AO1, AO2, and AO3 skills and how to structure high-mark essays. Lessons typically last one hour and include a recap of prior learning, clear explanation of specification content, discussion of key research and evaluation, and practice exam questions with detailed feedback. I achieved an A* in AQA A-Level Psychology, giving me a strong understanding of both the specification and assessment criteria, and my lessons are designed specifically for A-Level students, from those needing extra support to high-achieving students aiming for top grades, with all sessions tailored to individual needs and goals.
