About Cherise
Seven-year-old hands first learned the vibration of a string before ever seeing a printed note on a page. This Suzuki foundation informs my 13 years of teaching expertise. Eastman School of Music provided the MMus degree that anchors my technical command.
I specialize in shifting positions, tone production, rhythm, timing, and tuning by ear. Complex bowing techniques like spiccato and staccato require discipline to internalize properly. My instruction relies on that initial auditory connection for progress.

Students often struggle to bridge the gap between mental concepts and physical execution during their practice. Weekly practice modules assigned with every class ensure the structure remains clear for students and parents alike.
My MMus from the Eastman School of Music informs the curriculum I build for 13 years of pupils. These 7 sessions create a roadmap for steady improvement across various technical demands.
Parents play a core role in supporting the home environment during this process. Observing small breakthroughs during the week remains the most rewarding part of this work. It is always a pleasure to hear the clarity emerge from consistent and focused effort.
