About Martina
I am a passionate violin tutor with 12 years of experience teaching students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. My teaching philosophy emphasises creating a supportive and inspiring environment where every student can thrive.
I focus on technical proficiency, music theory, sight-reading, and performance skills while encouraging creativity, expression, and personal growth. Over 200 students have studied with me, performing successfully in recitals, competitions, and concerts.
My lessons are structured yet flexible, blending disciplined practice with creative exercises and performance experience. I aim to help students grow as musicians, gain confidence, and develop a lifelong love for violin.

I use a teaching methodology built on compassion, encouragement, and clear communication. My goal is to make learning the violin a fun, inspiring, and confidence-building experience. Each lesson is designed to meet the student’s individual pace, goals, and learning style.
I provide structured guidance, demonstrations, and interactive exercises, breaking down complex techniques into manageable steps. Students are encouraged to ask questions, actively participate, and explore their creativity, making lessons engaging and effective.
Being supportive is key to my approach. I celebrate progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide students through challenges with patience and encouragement. Lessons balance technical skill-building, musical expression, and personal growth to create confident, independent learners.
I also teach other subjects using the same compassionate methodology, nurturing curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning.
