About Emma

My aim is to make a student feel at ease with the language, that no question is ridiculous and confident in their own abilities and level, whatever that may be, having done this over the past 10 years in the classroom and tutoring for 12. Students can ask anything about the language without feeling nervous or afraid of my reaction; no question is too silly. I offer a judgment-free, safe space in which they can learn at their own pace.

About the lesson

- Teaching strictly online now with focus on Irish school system language requirements with emphasis on students' own areas of difficulty - Lessons are usually about 50 minutes but can be tailored to personal taste - Tutoring for the past 12 years in-person and online for the past 2 exclusively - I have taught 1st-6th year in secondary schools and have tutored the same, ranging from 12 y/o - 19 y/o at higher, common and ordinary level

Her notes are clear and concise with excellent irish, that when utilised l can get you the highest marks.

I was lucky enough to discover Emma at the beginning of 6th year when I was really worried about my standard of German. I struggled to gain much from my school teacher and was in need of extra help to push me that extra mile. Throughout 5th year I received test scores between the 50’s and 60’s. Thanks to Emma’s amazing help I received a H1 (90-100%) in my German leaving cert exam. Emma is a fantastic, dedicated and hardworking teacher with extremely valuable experience as a state examinations examiner and corrector. Nothing was ever too much to ask for with Emma, from providing top standard notes for the German oral ( I received 97%) , to creating fun ways to remember grammar rules and providing high standard sample answers . Emma was paramount in my success and I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of that extra help! :)
