About Melissa
I am an experienced piano tutor with 16 years of teaching experience, guiding students from school, college, and working professional backgrounds. I believe that learning piano is more than just mastering techniques—it is about building confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love for music.
My teaching methodology focuses on patience, clear communication, and tailored instruction for each student’s goals and abilities. I help students develop strong fundamentals including finger technique, rhythm, hand coordination, and sight-reading.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to develop a complete understanding of music. My lessons are interactive, creative, and engaging, often including songs, performance practice, and improvisation.
I specialize in simplifying complex concepts, helping students overcome challenges, and fostering consistency in practice.
