About Ivan
I am a currently enrolled student at the New York City College of Technology for applied mathematics. Apart from my college studies, I am a conservatory-level trained clarinettist, having graduated from Juilliard Pre-College after three years of study and the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School after four years of study. In addition, I compose music in the style of the romantic era and research mathematics independently, particularly in number theory and analysis, having written several investigations in these topics. I love to teach both music and mathematics, having tutored my peers and friends, always ending in a positive result and learning experience.

I like an engaging method of teaching that is emphasized on intuitive understanding while being supported by mathematical rigor. Before everything, I will ask the student about the area of maths they need assistance with, and I will create the necessary session materials. I will start the lesson by presenting the material, allowing the student to engage and ask for any clarifications, continuing with problems, and assigning homework at the end. I emphasize that I am one who loves intuition, and I believe it helps the most when learning such an abstract field such as mathematics, while not many tutors do. My lessons are for all levels between elementary maths and multivariable calculus.
