About Ruth
I believe every student can overcome challenges to learning math and gain confidence. I have a Post-Graduate Professional teaching license for physics instruction as well as K-12 music.
Academic background: B.S. and M.S. physics, University of Maryland; Ph.D., History and Philosophy of Science. Also B.M. in Music Education from the Peabody Conservatory (Violin).

Are you struggling with math class or with math learning requirements for work credentials? I specialize in getting students over that "algebra hump" by making it into a game and something that makes sense intuitively. I also can help with trigonometry and analysis for more advanced students.
If your elementary school child needs help with pre-algebra fundamentals, I can help with that as well. I specialize in finding out what is blocking a student from learning, and resolving those challenges so that they can gain confidence in their own ability to solve problems.
