Aloha! My name is Teacher Meilani
I am an American English teacher who was raised in the beautiful state of Hawaii ️. Although I don’t teach from Hawaii full-time, I carry the Aloha spirit with me wherever I am — kindness, patience, and respect for others .
I studied at the University of Hawaii at Manoa earning a Bachelor of Arts degree and Chaminade University of Honolulu, where I earned my Special Education certification (Mild/Moderate K–12) . I also hold a Juris Doctor law degree ️, which supports strong communication and organization skills.
I have more than 10 years of teaching, including private tutoring, special education, and teaching young English language learners . I have worked with students from many different backgrounds and learning styles.
In my classes, I focus on clear pronunciation , simple learning solutions ️, and building confidence . I am patient, supportive, and gentle with beginners.
In my free time, I enjoy reading , learning new things , and spending time in my home state of Hawaii when I can .
